 Renewables

The skills and best practices that DORIS has developed over 50 years of working in the offshore industry are directly transferable to marine renewables projects, including wind, tidal and wave power.

DORIS provides a complete range of engineering and management services through the full life-cycle of renewables projects, from conceptual studies and wave tank testing, front-end engineering, safety and environment studies, through to project management, including procurement, construction and operations.

DORIS’ UK subsidiary ODE is the center of excellence for renewables expertise, built on more than 15 years of offshore wind hands-on experience, and a track record of outstanding success and industry awards.

Coastal Engineering

The skills and best practices that DORIS has developed over 50 years of working in the offshore industry are directly transferable to coastal development projects, which generally require an in-depth analysis of wave, wind and current action, hydrodynamic analyses, structural analyses, soil mechanics and foundations analyses, etc.

The analogy is even more obvious when the coastal development is located in relatively deep water and/or exposed to severe wave action.

This has enabled DORIS to successfully carry out several outstanding projects related to harbour development and harbour extension with fixed or floating breakwater(s).

As an example, DORIS was involved from conceptual design to an owner’s engineer role in the Condamine Harbour extension project in Monaco where, in 2002, a 350 m long semi-floating dyke was installed outside of the existing harbour to provide better protection, berthing for cruise ships and car parking.

DORIS has developed a specific expertise in advanced engineering.

Indeed DORIS has provided design and engineering services in several specific fields such as Defence, Space and Nuclear, building on a long lasting experience in hydrodynamic analyses, structural analyses, mechanical design and assembly, etc.
